Gift of Gab Daily - "Transformation" (A Must Read)

Good Morning! I present you...

"TRANSFORMATION"

Survival of the fittest requires evolution. If a species does not evolve, it dies out. Evolution is defined as, "development: a process in which something passes by degrees to a different stage (especially a more advanced or mature stage)." Quite frankly, evolution is change. A type of transformation, and transformation is best described as, "the act of transforming or the state of being transformed; a marked change in appearance or character, especially one for the better."

I'm sure at some point in your life you were tempted to consider what things WOULD HAVE been like if you'd chosen another path. Or, you wondered, what things WOULD HAVE been like if you'd known what you know now.

Though it's tempting to look back, don't. GLANCE in your rearview mirror. Don't stare at it. Use it only to gauge where you're at and be aware of what is surrounding your life.

I myself have been tempted by looking back. I used to do it quite frequently to be honest. The difference now is the choices I make and one of them is choosing to have faith. I know by continuing to look ahead theres no need to look back and imagine, because I'm already looking forward to something better.

Every time you catch yourself looking back and doubting something better lies ahead of you, ask yourself this: How do I know something better ISN'T ahead of me, if I'm not focused on what's in front of me? How do I know something isn't coming up in front of me, if I'm not even looking in it's direction?

I have learned if something is meant to happen, it will be progressing WITH me. NOT lagging behind. The past is the past for a reason which I mentioned in yesterday's blog while talking about letting go of seasonal people.

Lately I've been emphasizing "CHOICE" a lot. That is because we ALL have a choice in being successful. The ONLY thing standing in our way, is ourselves. Our attitude, beliefs, interests (or lack of), our desires--these are all things which play a combined role in our success. You must EVOLVE and CHOOSE to be positive and welcome positive ideas, people, and surroundings into your life or else it will never change.

Things beneficial to the improvement of my mental and physical health, I choose to do them now and it's made all the difference. Routinely I wake up early, I run at least a mile every morning, I'm breaking barriers within myself and taking strides to be better every day. This is the best I've ever been, because I finally learned to take responsibility and hold myself accountable for what it is going on in my life. This transformation... This turning point... This change... Was made possible because I finally CHOSE to do so and I feel so much better because of it.

Don't make a list of negatives that you don't like about life or yourself. Write down affirmations, sentences beginning with words like "I can..." And "I will..." Let your imagination be the coming attractions of your life. Visualize your happiness and rehearse it every day. Practice being happy. Repeated actions become habits. The same way you picked up bad habits, you can develop good ones too :)

Place no glass ceiling above you. The only limitations to your dreams, is your imagination! The choice IS yours.

Be the best You.

I love you... And I will wake up again tomorrow and share more joy with you. View every day as a fresh start, a chance to try again.

Yours Truly,
Gabrielle

[This is dedicated to my Mother who got on her knees every night and taught us to pray, who dressed us for Church and made sure we were there every Sunday, and fell asleep in a chair every single night I laid in the ICU. No lesson on faith compares to the ones which you've taught me. I know you shy from recognition. I love you and you are so deserving. And to my grandparents, who so lovingly instilled faith in her, this is for you too.]

Those who pray together, stay together <3 Always have faith <3
